Anorganic Bone–Collagen Composite — Ready-to-Use Plug & Block for Bone Regeneration
InterOss® Collagen is an anorganic hydroxyapatite–collagen composite combining 90% InterOss® bovine bone granules with 10% purified Type I collagen fibres, moulded into ready-to-use plug and block forms. The collagen carrier brings exceptional handling ease and adaptability to the defect site, while the InterOss® granules provide the proven osteoconductive scaffold for bone regeneration. Superior absorption, adaptable shape, and slow controlled degradation make it the ideal choice for socket preservation and ridge augmentation procedures.

InterOss® Collagen — Bone-Collagen Composite
InterOss® Collagen is designed specifically for socket preservation and ridge maintenance — anywhere ease of placement and reliable regeneration are needed.
Filling of extraction sockets to enhance preservation of the alveolar ridge — maintaining ridge width and height for future implant placement without complex surgical procedures.
Filling of periodontal defects in conjunction with products intended for guided tissue regeneration (GTR) and guided bone regeneration (GBR) procedures.
Used in socket grafting prior to immediate or delayed implant placement — the plug format is particularly suited to filling the socket space and minimising soft tissue shrinkage.
Used in combination with an InterCollagen® Guide resorbable membrane for comprehensive guided bone regeneration — graft packed and covered for optimal space maintenance and healing.
InterOss® Collagen can be trimmed to the desired dimensions using forceps and scissors — in dry state or after hydration. For blocks, templates can be used to minimise waste.
Hydrate the material in blood or sterile saline solution prior to placement. The collagen absorbs fluid rapidly (1.7× absorption ratio), improving pliability and adaptation to the defect contour.
Pack the hydrated plug or block firmly into the socket or defect site. Ensure sufficient contact with the bleeding bone surface to facilitate ingrowth of new blood vessels and bone-forming cells.
Cover the graft with an InterCollagen® Guide resorbable membrane to minimise particulate migration, prevent soft tissue ingrowth, and guide bone regeneration for optimal outcomes.
Ensure secure soft tissue closure without tension. Allow minimum 6 months healing before re-entry. The collagen component integrates early while the hydroxyapatite granules provide long-term scaffold stability.
